Micro-satellite
(Definition)

Micro-satellites are very small satellites (about 500mm diameter) weighing 10 to 100 kilos and are usually launched as secondary payloads.

Despite their small size and weight they contain much of what can be found in full-sized satellites.

Examples of micro-satellites are: PoSAT-1 (the first portuguese satellite), HEALTHSAT-1, KITSAT-1, CERISE and FaSAT-1.
